The project is aimed at facilitating the processes of searching, receiving and disseminating information by people with disabilities on an equal basis with people without disabilities in a manner accessible to and preferable for them.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
Within the frameworks of the project, it is planned to translate and develop a guide for web content accessibility, as well as to organize trainings in accordance with these guidelines. A handbook on provision of information in accessible formats will also be developed and trainings will be organized for public service providers.
One of the actions of the project is the creation of an innovative library on disability and human rights for researchers and students. Within the framework of the project, accessible informative services are being provided to persons with disabilities by the use of assistive technologies.
